Pastor, Husband, Father, Businessman, Lifelong Republican
Jerry and Tisha Cummings have spent most of their lives in the Northwest. Jerry grew up in Olympia Washington, and Tisha is a Portland girl. Jerry has been a Baptist Minister since he was a teenager. He is a husband and the father of six children ranging in age from 32 years old to one year old. Five of them were born in Oregon. He has pastored two churches in the state of Oregon since the early 2000s with a stint in Washington in between. Jerry spent two decades as a Radio Broadcaster and Sales Manager. Jerry is also a small business owner. A lifetime Republican, Jerry voted for the first time in 1992 casting his vote for George H.W. Bush against Bill Clinton. Jerry became actively involved in party leadership in 2011 when he was asked to consider running for Chairman in Mason County, Washington. Though, he lost that race by a single vote, he was unanimously elected vice chairman and later became chairman across two terms. He has also chaired a district committee, been a county chair for two gubernatorial races, served on the rules committee for Washington GOP’s state convention twice. Currently, Jerry serves as the Alternate Vice Chair for CD1 Republican Committee, and as the Elections chairman, Rules chairman and as an executive board member for the Columbia County Central Committee; and the Alternate Delegate to the Oregon State Central Committee. He is an Alternate member of the ORP State Executive Committee. He is undefeated as a candidate having won election as a school board director.

On May 1st of 2015, GCM purchased the Coffee News Franchise for the region of Mason County Washington and entered into a mutual sales agreement with multiple publishers across Western Washington.

I have also been a staff writer and correspondent for KMAS Newsradio covering local news as well as the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks including Superbowl 48.

As the General Manager I was in charge of Radio Station operations, Oversaw marketing, promotions, and events. Including live concert promotions. The primary responsibility of a General Manager in Media is of course, maintaining relationships with the business community and developing the Advertising Campaigns of Station clients. My position was eliminated due to a format change and corporate restructuring. At which point I returned to KMAS in Shelton.

As a missionary on a Native American Reservation I planted a church. Duties were typical of a Pastoral position including, Organizing Sunday School and Education programs, preparing and presenting three sermon messages per week. Overseeing the outreach and benevolence ministries of the church. Supervising volunteer team members. Personal, marriage and family counseling. However, in planting a church all of these programs had to be developed from the ground up. During this time I began my first radio experience as the host of a one hour weekly radio ministry called “Breadcast”.
